About the Author
Dr. Michael Martins earned his degree from the University of California, Northridge (CSUN). He then went to Pepperdine University in Malibu where he received his bachelor's degree in psychology and master's degree. He continued his studies at Santa Barbara University, where he received a doctorate in psychology. Later, he did a degree in Neurology at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
While in private practice, he secured an employment contract with the Portuguese government where he used homeopathy and natural products extensively in the treatment of various sexual diseases caused by drug and alcohol use including AIDS. Aside from success in treating these diseases, he was also successful in treating memory and behavior in children and seniors with Alzheimer's.
Combining three different types of modern, classical, and nutritional supplements, producing remarkable results made him decide to dedicate himself to this new type of medicine that is known as alternative medicine.
In 1995, Dr. Martins introduced a new complete line of alternative medicine, homeopathy, and natural products, that’s how Homeopathy & Herbal Laboratories was born for the development and production of natural products, which over the years would become MYA International Inc.
